When you visit Anthony’s Key Resort you can take a short boat ride over to the dolphin lagoon, named Bailey’s Key. It’s named after one of their resident dolphins, Bailey, who also happens to be a great mom. There are a couple of different encounters you can participate in. My favorite is the Dolphin Swim & Snorkel. It’s a two part excursion where you can interact with them in waist deep water with your group, then later you get to put on your snorkel gear and free swim with them out in the lagoon.

The dolphins are taken out into the open ocean each day with the staff to interact with divers where they also get to practice natural hunting and playful behaviors. They freely follow the boats in and out of the lagoon. The barriers are narrow enough so that the dolphins could easily jump out and make their way to the open ocean if they wanted, but they happily choose to stay. This is our favorite place to visit when we visit the island of Roatan!
