Welcome to my new video series "Behind the Chant", coming every Thursday, where I speak a bit more about a particular Gregorian chant - what it means, how I've tried to portray and interpret it, and bitesize nuggets about Gregorian chant notation.

This is an Epiphany Gregorian chant hymn for Vespers - starting by pressing the question to the cruel Herod - QUID TIMES? why do you fear so much?! Join me as I unpack the meaning and my interpretation of style in this piece. Hope it gives you a bit of enrichment and appreciation of this eerie but beautiful music!
