This video reviews the lens I'd rank as #1 out of all Petri vintage fast fifties. It includes a comparison of three Kuribayashi-branded fast fifties, made between 1959 and 1962. Classic 'unicorn' lenses, that are rare, fascinating, and rather like a unicorn, they each have an element of fantasy.

The three lenses are: Kuribayashi C.C. Petri Orikkor 50mm f2; Kuribayashi C.C. Petri 50mm f2; Kuribayashi C.C. Petri 55mm f2.

I also compare the wide-open performance of the Orikkor with two "bokeh royalty" lenses - Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Domiron 50mm f2 and Trioplan 100mm f2.8.

In the final section, I talk about some lessons learned (good and bad) from buying and trying Petri cameras and lenses.
