Robocop 2 - Cain the monster custom made model - "Robocain" - walkround + head opening

Cain is made from mostly aluminium, some parts are delrin and the main painted chest cover is fibreglass.

I built this 8 years ago using photos of the original stop motion pupet as my reference. It took me around 600 hours over 14 months to complete.

I have a small manual milling machine and lathe, I made everything by hand, no cnc equipment was used.

I made the head mechanism myself, the screen is an oled prototype screen that has an onboard micro sd card reader. I made the video file by cropping the parts of Cains face from the movie then converting it to play on the screen. Inside Cains body there is a motor and worm drive thats fed through a tube into cains head that pulls and pushes the screen mechanism. It hits various micro switches along the way to turn the screen on and off and to stop the motor at full travel.
