In the endless blue of the flooded world, danger doesn’t just come from above—it lurks beneath. As the Mariner’s trimaran glides across the waves, Helen raises a telescope, spotting friendly figures waving from a nearby atoll trading station. Their gestures seem inviting. Hopeful.

But the Mariner—ever cautious—gathers a small tin of seawater, lifts it to his nose, and inhales. His expression darkens. Something is wrong. This isn't clean ocean water. It's laced with fuel, grease, and the unmistakable stench of ambush.

Without hesitation, he rushes below deck and peers through his underwater periscope. And there they are—lurking in the depths like sharks—Smokers. Pirates. Their oxygen tanks glint in the filtered light, and they’re poised for attack.

It’s a trap.

The Mariner pulls the sails, pivots the vessel hard, and the ship surges forward. The Smokers realize they’ve been spotted and erupt from the water, scrambling onto jet skis and speedboats. Engines roar as they give chase.

On deck, Helen joins the Mariner. Together, they execute a daring move—they shift to one side of the trimaran, tilting the massive boat at a sharp angle. The sails catch the wind, lifting the opposite hull into the air.

The Smokers close in, throwing out a weighted net. But the maneuver works—the boat’s tilt causes the net to tear mid-air, snapping and dropping onto the pursuing Smokers. Caught by their own trap, the pirates’ jet skis collide and flip, skimming across the surface like broken toys.

One by one, the Smokers go down.
And the Mariner sails on—alone, hunted, but never unprepared.
