Dredge is a graveyard-based Legacy Format Combo deck that functions differently than almost any other Magic deck ever built! Looking to forgo playing from the hand, the graveyard is the primary zone where the action takes place. Dredge cards like Golgari Grave-Troll, Stinkweed Imp, and Golgari Thug replace draws with milling cards into the graveyard.

The ways to put dredgers into the graveyard include: Faithless Looting, Careful Study, Breakthrough, and Cephalid Coliseum. The deck is full of ways to operate out of the graveyard. Cards like Poxwalkers, Narcomoeba, and Bridge From Below (IT'S ZOMBIE TIME!) all are at their best when being put into the graveyard! LED Dredge can be very difficult to interact with in game one due to its potent recursion and grind potential but needs to fight through hate out of sideboards, something it can be very good at if well-built. It is often considered "broken" due to how different it feels from normal Magic games.

Lion's Eye Diamond or 5c Dredge can be defined by the core of rainbow lands (known as five-color lands, which include: City of Brass, Gemstone Mine, and Mana Confluence) and then Breakthrough, Lion's Eye Diamond, Cabal Therapy, and Faithless Looting.
