Mental health patients 'abused' while in NHS care

An investigation by Sky News and The Independent has uncovered evidence of nearly 20,000 sexual assaults and complaints of harassment in NHS England mental health trusts.

Among the allegations are more than 800 claims of rape or sexual assault, but only 95 cases are believed to have been reported to the police.

Now, dozens of patients and their families have come forward to share their experiences, including a mother of two who escaped from psychiatric care.
