The 250cc class at the Red Bud Motocross on Saturday did not disappoint.

Honda's Chance Hymas #48 would take the overall win at the Red Bud Motocross with a 4-1 for the day. Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Ty Masterpool #29 continued his impressive season with a 1-5 for 2nd place overall, and Hymas' Honda teammate Jo Shimoda #30 rounded out the podium with a 5-2.

250cc moto 1 from Red Bud saw Masterpool barely beat out KTM's Tom Vialle #16 for the holeshot. Vialle passed Masterpool and led until about 10 minutes to go when he crashed.

Chance Hymas inherited the lead, but Ty Masterpool ran him down and passed him. Star Yamaha's Haiden Deegan #38 got by Hymas, who faded to 4th due to being possibly overwhelmed by the pace.

Masterpool and Deegan were separated by inches, but Ty still held off Haiden for the moto 1 win.

250cc moto 2 saw Hymas holeshot again. This time, he was able to get a grip on keeping the lead much longer.

Yamaha's Deegan got a bad start, and he would later fall victim to a crash from a lapper, Bailey Kroone of Minnesota. Kroone endoed over one of the tabletops and sustained a broken leg. Deegan would go somersaulting off his own bike and on the ground. Deegan would recover for a 6th in the second moto -- 5th overall.

Chance Hymas had to hold off some serious heat from his teammate Jo Shimoda in the second moto. Fortunately, Hymas did that after Shimoda slid out on the last lap before the sand whoops.

Despite winning the overall, Hymas was docked 5 championship points in the first moto due to jumping on a red cross flag. It did not affect his points for the day, so he remains 42 points behind Haiden Deegan in the series.

For now, we head to Spring Creek in Millville, MN next Saturday!
