बिहारशरीफ (अपना नालंदा)।
04–05 जनवरी 2026 को नालंदा की ऐतिहासिक धरती पर सार्क देशों के पत्रकारों एवं लेखकों का चौथा दो-दिवसीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय मातृभाषा सम्मेलन भव्यता के साथ संपन्न हुआ। सम्मेलन का आयोजन सार्क जर्नलिस्ट फोरम इंडिया चेप्टर बिहार, नालंदा खुला विश्वविद्यालय, आम्रपाली कला साहित्य सम्मेलन एवं मानवाधिकार टुडे के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में किया गया।
उद्घाटन सत्र में सिक्किम के पूर्व राज्यपाल गंगा प्रसाद ने कहा कि नालंदा ज्ञान की वैश्विक धरोहर है और मातृभाषाओं के संरक्षण में पत्रकारों-लेखकों की भूमिका सराहनीय है। अध्यक्षता बिहार हिन्दी साहित्य सम्मेलन के अध्यक्ष डॉ. अनिल सुलभ ने की। मॉरीशस से आई अंतरराष्ट्रीय लेखिका डॉ. सरिता बुद्धू ने बिहार को अपना “दूसरा घर” बताते हुए नालंदा की वैश्विक पहचान पर प्रकाश डाला।
सम्मेलन में पद्मश्री डॉ. जे.के. सिंह, पद्मश्री बिमल जैन, नेपाल, बांग्लादेश, थाईलैंड और श्रीलंका के वरिष्ठ पत्रकार-लेखकों ने मातृभाषा, मानवाधिकार और पत्रकारिता पर विचार रखे। इस अवसर पर लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड 2025, नालंदा इंटरनेशनल अचीवर्स अवार्ड और बिहार गौरव अवार्ड से अनेक विशिष्ट व्यक्तित्व सम्मानित हुए।
“बिहार का गौरव: नालंदा एवं मातृभाषा” सहित पुस्तकों का लोकार्पण और “वैशाली अंतरराष्ट्रीय विद्यापीठ” स्थापना की घोषणा भी की गई।
दूसरे दिन अतिथियों ने प्राचीन नालंदा विश्वविद्यालय के खंडहरों का भ्रमण किया। विदेशी प्रतिनिधियों ने इसे विश्व की अद्वितीय ज्ञान-परंपरा का प्रतीक बताया। सम्मेलन ने नालंदा को एक बार फिर वैश्विक बौद्धिक मंच पर स्थापित किया।

The fourth two-day International Mother Language Conference of journalists and writers from SAARC countries concluded with great pomp on January 4–5, 2026, on the historic land of Nalanda. The conference was organized under the joint auspices of the SAARC Journalists Forum India Chapter Bihar, Nalanda Open University, Amrapali Kala Sahitya Sammelan, and Human Rights Today.
In the inaugural session, Ganga Prasad, former Governor of Sikkim, stated that Nalanda is a global heritage of knowledge and that the role of journalists and writers in preserving mother tongues is commendable. Dr. Anil Sulabh, President of the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, presided over the conference. International writer Dr. Sarita Budhu, who visited from Mauritius, described Bihar as her "second home," highlighting Nalanda's global recognition.
At the conference, Padmashree Dr. J.K. Singh, Padmashree Bimal Jain, and senior journalists and writers from Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Sri Lanka shared their views on mother tongue, human rights, and journalism. On this occasion, several distinguished personalities were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025, the Nalanda International Achievers Award, and the Bihar Gaurav Award.
Books including "Bihar's Pride: Nalanda and Mother Tongue" were released and the establishment of the "Vaishali International University" was announced.
On the second day, guests toured the ruins of the ancient Nalanda University. Foreign delegates described it as a symbol of the world's unique knowledge tradition. The conference once again established Nalanda on the global intellectual stage.
