City and Colour - Missing (Live from Dallas's Home)

PLEASE READ.
On June 1st, my family suffered a terrible loss. My beloved cousin, Nicholas Oszcypko, passed away suddenly and our hearts are shattered.

Some of you may remember Nick from our days together in Helicon Blue or the early days of City and Colour. He was the funniest person I have ever met and I will miss him dearly.

I’m not sure what to think or say at this moment and since my family isn’t able to have a celebration of Nick’s life right now, because of restrictions from the pandemic (what the fuck is happening?) I will sing my sadness.

I wrote this song almost 17 years ago to honour a man who meant the world to me. Nick recorded the version, that some of you know, in my parents’ basement. I’m singing it for him now and for my aunt Jude, my uncle John, Lauren, Shannon and everyone else who knew and loved this beautiful human.
Please be kinder to one another. You have no idea how fragile this life is.
