Описание к видео 1955 Kodak K100 16mm camera short test with hand developed Orwo UN54 film

Boring footage on 50ft of Orwo UN54 film to test the running of a Kodak K100 16mm camera. The camera dates from about 1955, and came with a SOM Bertiot Lytar f1.8 25mm C-mount lens. It seems to work quite well.

It's a big lump of a camera, but balances quite well when held in two hands. The camera and lens are in very nice clean condition. The lens has a single coating, or is uncoated, softening the highlights - but seems to be quite sharp. There's a little up-down jitter in the image, but the camera seems to work fine, so I'm fairly confident of using 100ft rolls of film in it in the future.

I guessed the focus distance and used the hyperfocal distance markings on the lens and a handheld meter - guessing the shutter speed was about 1/60 at 24fps. Subsequently looked at the manual online - apparently it should have been 1/50th - so I overexposed a bit in places.

Processing was done in the Lomo UPB-1A tank - which takes 50ft of 16mm film nicely. Ilfotec-HC (same as HC-110) at 1+63 dilution for 7.5 minutes as per the Massive Dev Chart. It's come out a little uneven, but is fine as a test film.
