Introduction to Lung Pathology

Do you know what a transbronchial lung biopsy is and how it looks under the microscope? Do you know how lung cancer treatment is guided by pathology? This video is geared towards those who are new to lung pathology and wish to learn the basics. Each concept is explained simply, using plain language. Part 1 deals with lug biopsies and non-neoplastic diseases. Part 2 is an introduction to lung cancer with an emphasis on how lung pathology affects treatment decisions. I am a medical doctor (a pathologist). My job involves diagnosing diseases such as lung cancer, mesothelioma, infections and interstitial lung disease by examining tissue samples under a microscope.
