Even though he was a mighty king blessed with valour, he faced the most painful end of life — death due to a curse (शाप मृत्यु). But why did this happen? ✨ The Story Behind the Curse (श्राप की कथा):
Long before Shri Ram was born, Raja Dashrath was a skilled warrior and hunter. One day, while hunting, he shot an arrow thinking it was an animal. But tragically, the arrow struck a young boy, Shravan Kumar (श्रवण कुमार), who was serving his blind parents by carrying them on his shoulders.

The dying Shravan requested Raja Dashrath to give water to his parents. When Dashrath reached them and explained the truth, Shravan’s blind parents were filled with grief. They gave a terrible shraap (श्राप):

"Just like we are losing our son in our old age, you too will die in pain, separated from your beloved son."

This curse later came true when Raja Dashrath, after sending Ram to exile (वनवास), could not bear the sorrow of separation and died crying for his son.
