Sidi Ifni & Mirleft Morocco 🇲🇦

Want to discover Sidi Ifni? There are a thousand and one ways to do so. Between sea, mountains and the great desert of the south, Sidi Ifni is built on a rocky plateau, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from about fifty meters above.
Its beach stretches over miles of fine sand, bordered by transparent water, it is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts; surfing enthusiasts will be delighted. It is also the ideal place to sunbathe, take a nap in the sun or simply take refreshments after a long visit to the city centre.
Formerly a Spanish enclave where time seems to stand still. It is the ideal starting point for a hike or a short bivouac to discover the surrounding Berber villages.
Today it is a touristic city of Morocco located on the Atlantic Ocean on the southern Atlantic coast of Morocco, between the cities of Tiznit and Guelmim, 160 km south of Agadir.
Because of its location, Sidi Ifni can be considered as "the Atlantic gateway to the Sahara". The main activity of Ifni is fishing, catching in particular sardines, sole, sea bream, bass and tuna.
Tourism is also booming in this city with its important strengths. It is located near many beaches with attractive shores, such as Legzira, Mirleft, Sidi Ouarzig or the White Beach which attracts surfers in summer and lovers of fun in winter.
But it also keeps its historical heritage of Spanish colonial architecture and has one of the most beautiful natural sites in Morocco. One reaches, from the beach of Legzira, 4 arches hollowed out by the ocean, an unforgettable walk.

Mirleft is a small Berber town where ocean meets the mountains, where humbleness meets enchantment and where time cease to exist. Visiting Mirleft 25 years ago or visiting Morocco today will evoke the same untouchable feelings. It’s a place that has been left untouched by time and a wonderful place to get away from it all.

The town is very laid back. Many French and Germans came to visit in the late 80’s and chose to call it home by investing in hotels, restaurants and guest houses.

Only two hours south of Agadir, benefiting from all year round agreeable weather, Sidi Ifni is the perfect get away for all bohemian lovers. A Berber town full of history and modesty.

Family Huijbers and Morocco!
For us, Morocco is the country we prefer to go to for vacation or to travel through! So why, you may ask? Super hospitable people, lots to see in terms of nature and culture, almost always good weather, lovely sea and beaches, cozy cities (big, medium and small), beautiful mountains (High-Middle-Low Atlas), affordable, unique deserts (Zagora, Merzouga, Western Sahara) and great food (Tagine, Kefta, Couscous, Bastilla, Dates, Tea etc). In addition, being so close to Europe it is a truly different environment, a unique place! You can also fly easily and affordably with Ryanair from Weeze (Dusseldorf Niederrhein), Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Charleroi. In 2030 the World Cup will be in Morocco, after that the pristine will be gone and we will go to Algeria for the second time, similar to Morocco (the Morocco of the 90s). Until then, we will definitely go back to Morocco every year. So follow our various vlogs of this amazing country!
