How to Use NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS)

This tutorial will provide you with an introduction to the basic and advanced features of NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS). We will show you to view satellite observations of active fires and hotspots on an interactive map; navigate between the basic and advanced modes; learn what a satellite-derived fire detection means on the ground and show you how to add data imagery layers so you can see fires and smoke plumes.
