This my new cover in a while. Ghost, a song from my favourite album at this moment, Slash (2010).

This is the 1st video where I use my new way to record.
I dont use my Zoom G2.1u effects pedal anymore cuz it died some time ago, but I was gonna stop using it for recording anyways since I just bought an amp. I just had to find the right and affordable way to use the amp in my recordings.

So I asked around, and my friend Bob helped me out.

I just mic my MA50c amp, take that signal to an interface and it sends the signal to the computer so Cubase can record it. Pretty simple.

Mic'ing the amp gives you the RIGHT sound. Youll end up wondering how you could live all this time without this sound quality and realism. Theres a reason why the pros always mic amps instead of using effects pedals, multieffects, etc.

Also its the 1st time I use my improved strat for recording. In case youre wondering, yes its the same old strat, I just changed some stuff. Check out my facebook to know more about it.

About the backing track, I made it using plugins as usual (EZDrummer and Steinberg Virtual Bassist).

Amp Settings...

Honestly, the settings from, lets say, a Marshall JCM900 arent gonna sound the same on a Peavey 6505 or a Vox AC30. The settings I put here would sound the same ONLY if you have another Marshall MA series amp. Its as simple as that.
But if youre interested on this stuff here they are... I hope at least they give you an idea to find your own sound :)

The settings on my Marshall MA50c amp are:

"Overdrive" channel combined with "Boost channel".

Gain: 5
Bass: 7
Middle: 8
Treble: 4

Volume: 5
(it has to be at least on 5 to make the tubes crunch like theyre supposed to).

Mic: Shure SM57
Mic Position: Close mic'ing, Edge.
