Описание к видео The best backpacking pan

It's called a Fat Daddio's bread pan. They have different sizes but this one is their best size for canister stoves: 6.25" x 3.75" x 2.75". Different sellers will also call it 6.375" or 6 3/8" but it's all the same pan if the named measurements are within fractions.

A couple things about its size which the video didn't talk about:

You don't need a heat diffuser or "scorch buster" because the pan is not too big so the heat spreads around well enough.
Both pans have approximately 900 ml of volume even though the Frybake has a larger bottom because the Fat Daddio's total surface is shaped more efficiently as a rectangular prism instead of a cylinder and it has higher sides which is ultimately better than a wider pan. So Fat Daddio's is half the weight while having a similar total surface area. And the Frybake can fry four eggs instead of two but both pans could fry the same size stir fry or boil the same amount of water and the Fat Daddio's narrowness lets its tall sides heat up nicely for baking bread or boiling water.
This pan is a perfect rectangular prism which maximises its space efficiency in your backpack while coincidentally being able to make a perfectly rectangular loaf of bread. And after an 8" round, eight ounce Frybake is finished hogging and weighing down the backpack it could make the same size loaf of bread as this small Fat Daddio's pan but it would look like a cake layer and take longer to cook than the 9"x5" Fat Daddio's bread pan talked about in the video which itself takes twice as long as this smaller sized Fat Daddio's pan and requires higher heat.
The video says this pan's normal anodising is better than the Frybake's hard anodising which becomes irrelevant if you season the pan because seasoning is not scratch resistant so this makes hard anodising a useless feature that makes the pan heavier because hard anodising requires a thicker aluminum. However the additional benefit of the Fat Daddio's regular anodising on its thinner aluminum is that heat travels around a thinner aluminum better than a thicker aluminum so it cooks faster with less heat. And this pan bakes so efficiently that the Fat Daddio's company mentions in an obscure YouTube video that bakers must reduce their baking times and temperatures when using this pan so this pan has burned countless bakers' efforts because it is so efficient with heat which makes it ideal for canister stoves to cook any food but bread baking is a special ability for a pan to have and this is actually a bread pan specifically designed to bake bread (and do it faster with less heat than other bread pans).
The video talks about the pan's perfect size for maximising heat efficiency to bake a loaf bread with a canister stove and hence maximising fuel efficiency per calorie of food made. However baking bread is more important than a side point. So this pan is cheap, light, packs small, strong and it fries food just as good as a Frybake but being able to bake a loaf bread is a critical requirement for a backpacking pan because baking bread reduces the cost of food (flour and baking powder are cheap), it maximises resupply reliability (flour and baking powder are sold everywhere), it maximises health (whole wheat bread is healthy and it has both carbohydrates and protein), it maximises caloric efficiency per gram of food weight you carry (whole wheat bread makes your stomach feel full and gives you energy for a long time), it tastes good all by itself if all you have is your bread baking but you can bake a loaf of cheese bread or make calzones or bake a plain loaf and eat it with any toppings of meat or vegetables or whatever so it isn't "just bread" and instead it is the backpacker's perfect food staple so efficient bread baking is actually the top reason this is the best backpacking pan.
