This is a quick look at my Jason Takes Manhattan costume. Everything is homemade. Well the mask and hood / cowl are, the clothes were purchased at a local thrift shop for cheap. I used Mod Podge for the wet look on the shirt and pants. The hood is silicone which I’ve molded to a head armature. The hockey mask was a Chinese blank from Amazon for about $2. I reshaped and remolded the mask using epoxy putty and a heat gun. The straps are leather from a leather bag and the piece in the back (not visible) is a halter square from a horse halter. i used D-rings and nuts and bolts to connect the straps to the mask. I added some moss around some of the open areas. I did not texturize the skin on my arms for this video nor did I distress the gloves. It was just a quick little video. The arms will have the texture of decaying flesh. For a better look at the hockey mask, check out my other video on my part 8 mask. My videos serve as proof that you do not need to purchase costumes for $500-$1,000. If you have enough patience and creativity you can make a pretty screen accurate costume while saving a ton of money.
