Omar Marmoush scored twice in the first half, with Tijjani Reijnders also on target as City went 3-0 up inside 32 minutes. Anthony Elanga pulled one back for Newcastle in the second half.

Guardiola praises City’s intensity across the two legs, says reaching Wembley should never be taken for granted, and looks ahead to the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal.

He also discusses Newcastle’s pressing and chances, his exchange with Sandro Tonali, the fitness of Bernardo Silva, and questions the rules around January signings and eligibility for the final.
