At a minimum, you will need the Drifter's Cloak and the first Silk Heart upgrade so that when you are out of silk, one unit of Silk will automatically regenerate. This is required because Taunt (R3 on consoles) is used to lure the Phacia (flying enemy) and you will likely run out of silk before they reach the required spot. Also, in order to do this skip you will need to be able to reliably pogo off moving enemies and flowers. I'm sure it can be done with the the Hunter's Crest, but the vertical (down attack) of the Wanderer and Reaper Crests is likely easier for most players.

Also, it is possible to pogo off the Phacia without taking damage to reach the ledge above, but in this attempt I just happened to mess up and had to do a second pogo to get the needed height and took damage.

Part 2 is actually the same route as you use after beating Sister Splinter.
