“Daddy” was one of the first songs written for Growing Pains. Matching the overall album theme, the song is about a new phase in life. Not only for Not On Tour as a band, having new guitarist Mati on board, but also about Mati himself, becoming a father and combining tour life with fatherhood.
The lyrics are directed at Mati’s wife Orti and son Adam, who the band members love very much.
It’s a promise that, while having a great time on the road, the band will bring “Daddy” Mati back home to his family safe and sound.
