Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) Managing Director Mark Ducler talked with Proactive about the company’s latest drilling results from the Spargoville Gold Project in Western Australia. The 74-hole, 11,744-metre reverse circulation (RC) program has confirmed multiple gold-bearing zones, notably at Eagles Nest and Trapdoor–Lindsay’s Reward.

Ducler described the campaign as Astral’s “inaugural program” at Spargoville, revealing that it has delivered “a good outcome” with four targets now slated for follow-up. “Three metres at 17 [g/t] and nine metres at five grams per tonne — these are pretty good hits,” he said, referring to Eagles Nest. He also confirmed an intersection with what the company believes is the Huntsman deposit at the southern end of the Trapdoor trend.

With gold prices recently surpassing AU$6,000 per ounce, Ducler noted significant leverage to price increases, saying the net present value of the Mandilla project doubles from AU$1.4 billion to AU$2.7 billion under current conditions.
