Eric Liddell - The Torchlighters

Описание к видео Eric Liddell - The Torchlighters

Eric Liddell was a national hero in Scotland with a chance to compete in the 100-meter sprint in the 1924 Olympics. However, he refused to compete in the trials because he felt it would dishonor the Lord to run a race on a Sunday—a day for rest and worship. The people of Scotland were angered, but Eric went on to compete in two other races, setting a new world record and winning gold and bronze medals. Because he was a hero, people listened to him, and he used every opportunity to witness about his faith in Christ and serve as a missionary in China for 20 years
