GUTTING A DEER The EASY Way Before Caping

Michael Waddell walks us through gutting, or field dressing a whitetail deer and preparing it before you cape for taxidermy. This is the process to remove the internal organs in preparation for the cooler or complete field dressing. Gutting a deer quickly is the best way to ensure the best tasting venison and there's steps to take in order to cape the animal correctly later down the line. This is the way that we go about it when we have a place to hang the animal and a cooler is close by.
