It all began 15 years ago, as Rabbi Doniel walked up and down Broad Street hoping to meet a Jew that he could invite to the Grodnitzky's newly built Shabbos table in their small apartment on 17th & Lombard.

What started as a Chabad House dedicated to each individual that would max out at 50 people a month, has organically grown into a hub for Jews in their 20s & 30s across the tri-state area with as many as 500 people at our monthly programs. While the growth has been remarkable, Reuvena and Rabbi's commitment to each individual has remained steadfast.

There is now a network of Jews numbering in the thousands that are spread out across the globe who have had their Jewish journey influenced by their time in Philly at the Chabad House, who are substantially contributing to Jewish continuity.

5 years ago, after various attempts at finding a permanent space that could house our dynamic growth, we were blessed to purchase a corner property at 16th & Lombard Streets. Despite the global pandemic, we managed to demo and fully renovate the unique property in under a year and opened our doors just as gatherings were allowed again in the spring of 2021.

The 7-figure loan we secured from a local bank was structured to have its rate adjusted in December of 2024 and we now find ourselves just months away from seeing our monthly mortgage nearly double.

In celebration of all of the lives we have touched over the past 15 years we are asking you to partner with us to ensure that our next 15 years of growth will be navigated from a position of financial strength.
