Alibaug is approximately 98 km from Mumbai and 126 km from Pune. From Mumbai, you can take a ferry from a point called "Bhau cha Dhakka" near the Gateway of India; tickets should be booked online through their website. From Pune, you can take a local train to Khopoli and then continue by cab or bus to Alibaug. However, I recommend traveling by personal vehicle due to limited transport options in Alibaug. For accommodation, book a place in the center of Alibaug to ensure all attractions are equidistant. Try the local Konkan cuisine, seafood, and kokam sherbet. For pure vegetarian options, Suruchi Restaurant is fabulous. If you plan to visit during the monsoon, be aware that beach sports activities will be closed.
