WASSELL EVOLUTION 930 amal concentric copy

I needed another carb for my Red Hunter, because the one I've been using for the past 5000 miles is a bit on the big side. I've had no issues with ethanol fuel yet, but since the latest carbs are claimed to resist the stuff, I didn't hesitate to get a new amal concentric mk1 knockoff from Wassell called the Evolution. I chose the 30mm size as this is more in keeping with my bikes meagre performance, despite the port being enlarged to 32mm. It seems to be pretty well made with a nice smooth finish and no flaws in the casting, It came with a 200 main jet and a stay up float with Viton tipped needle and hard anodised CNC machined slide. I fitted a 220 main jet and threw the thing on and it started first kick, so that's a good start, and I'll keep some spare jets with me for the next couple of rides while I'm figuring out the mixture.
