Mutton Raan Recipe

A Flavorful and Tender Mutton Leg Dish

Mutton Raan is a popular recipe that's perfect for special occasions. This dish is a masterclass in blending spices, yogurt, and herbs to create a tender and flavorful mutton leg.

Ingredients:

- 2.5 kg Mutton Raan (leg piece)
- 1 1/2 cups Yogurt
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Kachri Powder
- 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Chilli Sauce
- 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Dhania Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chat Masala
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Zeera Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- Orange color (optional)

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger garlic paste, kachri powder, tomato ketchup, vinegar, chilli sauce, soya sauce, lemon juice, dhania powder, chat masala, chilli powder, zeera powder, salt, and black pepper.
2. Add the mutton raan to the marinade and coat it evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least 10 hours.
3. Preheat a steamer with 1.5 liters of water. Place the marinated mutton raan in the steamer and steam for 2 hours on high flame.
4. Remove the mutton raan from the steamer and fry in oil for 5 mints and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips:

- Serve with basmati rice, naan bread, or roti for a complete meal.
