Other Tidbits:

Guitarist Dean DeLeo threw me his guitar slide right to me after the end of Hickory Dichotomy. It's a Dunlop Chrome Guitar Slide 318. I also caught a pick from Fuel and Cheap Trick, although Cheap Trick threw them out into the crowd by the handful. The picks rained like confetti, which was a pretty funny sight to see. For Fuel, Brad Stewart individually handed out several to the front row fans after the last song, which was nice.

STP was ~15 mins late to their scheduled performance, but it wasn't because they were just hanging out backstage. At about 5:30, a white van pulled up, and 5 mins later the band was playing. Probably got stuck in traffic, lol.

For 'Big Empty', Scott Weiland looked at a front row fan and said ~"that's a really nice hat... I wouldn't mind wearing it." The fan then tossed up her large black floppy straw sun hat, Weiland put it on and then performed the song.

This concert festival was put on by the radio station 107.7 The Bone, the Bay Area's Classic Rock station. Program director Derek Madden, who was definitely dressed better than all the other 107.7 DJs who introduced themselves to the crowd at an intermission, announced that he, along with STP, was outfitted by John Varvatos.
