Heythrop Hunt.

Tuesday 16th December 2025.
The first draw was the an old dismantled railway line near Chad Lakes. The sab’ present was followed about by the stalking team which today included James and Teddy who was masked up and, for once, quiet. James, sadly, was anything but and kept singing, very loudly. All very Christmassy done in order to 1. dissuade any fox from running near the sab’, 2. Stop the sab’ from hearing anything. A fox ran to the bridleway from the dismantled and James got very wet at a very deep flood on the bridleway.
The fox ran to Kingham station and near the railway. Local people called the police. Indeed there were unhappy local people and landowners all round today. The hunt went up to Bledington Heath and horsed at Bledington Grounds. They were heard the other side of Bledington and when the sab’ caught up hounds were hunting between Icomb Cow Pastures and Upper Oddington Ashes, a very fast hunt with the mounted field coming out near Pebbly Mill Farm. Hounds ran towards Weasel Coppice and were then running towards Icomb Place with Ollie Dale (master huntsman), Josh Tierney (Kennel huntsman) and Ollie Street (professional terrierman looking above them towards Icomb Place.
The sab’ parked and noted as she ran through the village that some hounds were in gardens. The stalking team had caught up and were no doubt relaying to the trio that they were being filmed. A fox bolted out of the brambles and towards Icomb place with one hound within 2 feet of them. Josh Tierney did stop the rest of the pack following as they were called off due to the presence of the sab’. One lady did not get the memo though and held up a white handkerchief showing the hunt staff which direction the fox had gone.
We urge that our supporters write to their MPs asking when the Hunting Act consultation and following legislation will take place.
