KEEMSTAR I SUFFER FROM SOCIAL ANXIETY.

Social Anxiety Disorder, also known as Social Phobia is clinically defined as an intense and chronic fear that is present in everyday social situations because the individual believes that they will act in a way that would be embarrassing or humiliating.


These social interactions cause a paralysing fear within a person suffering from this disorder because they believe that they will be evaluated negatively, judged, or even rejected by others.


The distress and anxiety caused by Social Phobia is very different than stress and anxiety that can happen periodically during our lives because the fear and anxiety associated with Social Phobia is persistent, excessive, and unreasonable. There are also physiological characteristics that are present in Social Phobia. These include rapid heart rate, nausea, and sweating.


A diagnosis is not made lightly and there are many different types of testing used to make sure there is a clear pattern of behaviour present. These patterns can be linked to either the development of the brain or to how cells communicate with each other in the brain.


ASD is another condition that deals with the development of the brain or how the cells in the brain communicate with each other. In ASD, this impacts how we perceive information and how we socialise with others.

This can include developmental delays in cognitive, language, and social skills. The functionality of someone with ASD can vary depending on the severity of the factors involved.

Comparatively, there are numerous tests and established patterns of behaviour that are considered before any diagnosis is made.

It is also important to point out that certain neurological disorders including Dyslexia are diagnosed with similar parameters because they are characterised by an incomplete or incorrect perception of how the cells in the brain are communicating with each other.
