Philosophy here, Philosophy now

After reading and science, it’s philosophy I brought back in my life.

The goal is to think and develop my thinking and intellect through the practice of writing essays.

Now I say this this as if I always was pondering over the mysteries of our world, mind and role in the universe. Far from it.

But I always was intrigued by it and wanted to study it. But how?

I tried buying books. I overestimated myself. I tried videos essays. Didn’t get it either. There were just too many references unknown to me that was assumed to be known.

So I got myself a textbook. It helped. But it isn’t practical to just pull out a textbook from my bag to read here and there, out and about.

I’ve always loved magazines so it was a natural next step for me. Short articles, accessible and diverse enough to start having my brain gears turning over philosophy.

I chose an English magazine for the sole reason, it was cheaper than its French counterparts.

After reading I wrote down the main questions asked in the article by Jim Mepham and intend to answer them, or try to rather, in my notebook.

Since I’m completely ignorant, my answers will be innocent and candid. They will just are, and have no ulterior motive. They won’t try to convince, argue, defy, answer.

In a few years time, if I keep up with the practice, I will read those answers again with a point of fondness and amusement. A point of view that is very short lived but oh so charming.
