Hiking ASMR - 5 Days Solo in the Italian Alps in Summer

Описание к видео Hiking ASMR - 5 Days Solo in the Italian Alps in Summer

(Watch now in 4K) – In August 2023, I went on a 5-day hiking trip in the Dolomites in Italy. First, I traveled to Venice, where I stayed for a few days and enjoyed the beautiful city. Then, from Venice, I took a bus to the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, which is where I started the hike to the beautiful Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

I found the landscapes in the Dolomites to be very unique... The shapes of the mountains, their colours... Quite a different landscape from what I had seen during my previous hiking trip on the Mont Blanc trail in June 2023.

ℹ️ About The Trip

My thoughts after hiking in the Dolomites in August :
So many people everywhere. It was difficult to film and to record good audio;
I had no problem getting good quality food. There were many Rifugios, restaurants, stores, shops with plenty of food along the way and the prices were quite cheap considering it’s in the mountains. One day, I had a big plate of pasta with rabbit ragu for 14€;
The terrain was more difficult than I expected it to be. Lots of scree. I slipped so many times. My trail running shoes definitely took a beating on this trip;
The weather was perfect for me, it was 20°C (68°F) on most days, with only one day at 30°C (86°F). Though the nights were quite colder, below 10°C (50°F). The humidity was very high, lots of condensation in my tent;
I didn't see much wildlife, except for that one young deer on the first day;
Water was hard to find, even at Rifugios. Most of the rivers and streams were dry;
Good phone network connection. I had 4G almost everywhere, even at Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

The closest airports to the Dolomites are in Venice. The airports Treviso (TSF) and Marco Polo (VCE). Both airports are very well connected with buses going to the main towns in the Dolomites.

I flew into Treviso Airport (TSF), then I took a “M.O.M.” bus from the airport to the main train station in Treviso where I took a train to Venice. The buses and the trains were on time and they were very efficient. Because Venice is close to the Dolomites, I decided to stay for a few days in the beautiful city. If you plan on going to the Dolomites, I highly recommend visiting Venice if you’ve never been before and you have the time for it. Then, to get to Cortina d'Ampezzo from Venice, I booked a bus with the company "Cortina Express". The ticket cost 22€ and the trip was 3 hours long.
