What to do When a Child Makes a "Mistake" on their AAC device

In this video, I describe how children need time to explore their AAC systems in order to learn how to use them effectively.

Instead of providing corrective feedback, communication partners can simply act as if everything an AAC user says is intentional and attribute meaning to what they are saying. This is how all children learn communication skills!
