Yes, Nintendo did give out a limited number of re-made wireless N64 controllers with the N64 NSO release, but not all of us made the cut. And while there are third party options available, what if you just want to use the original controller?

Well, I stumbled upon this conversion kit from 8BitDo, and not only does it work seamlessly, but it was SUPER easy to do!
