In this video, I recap the story of how I impulsively purchased a non-running short wheelbase Jaguar XJ6 Series 1 that hadn’t run in years. I will dive into the history of this iconic British luxury car and share why I think this car is important and criminally underrated in the classic car community.

What makes this particular car special is a few things; it's a California car sold at the first Jaguar dealership in the United States (Hollywooooood), and at some point an aircraft mechanic owned this car and swapped in a manual transmission from an E-Type, as well as a Triple SU intake/Carb setup from an E-type, bumping the output by 30 hp! Mechanically, this car is basically an E-Type with 4 doors!

Join us as I tear into this the fuel system, rebuild the carbs, polish the intake, and give the 4.2L XK engine a full tune-up, all leading up to the moment of truth: will this legendary Le Mans-winning engine roar back to life?
