We caught up with Jaeyoung Lim, PhD student, Autonomous Systems Lab at ETH Zurich, at ICRA 2024 in Japan, where he won an award for his paper, Autonomous Active Mapping in Steep Alpine Environments with Fixed-wing Aerial Vehicles. If you can't tell by the title, the research involved avalanche assessment using fixed-wings. Many of you may know Jaeyoung from his immense community contributions as a PX4 simulation maintainer.
