In this video I show you how to make a tool that can cut channels for different sizes of box joint using our table saw.
My design was made according to the table saw and sled, the video of which I shared before. It is in the form of an apparatus that can be mounted on the existing table saw skid, but if you wish, you can make it use only the apparatus without using the slide.
After placing the material to be processed, we can open the box joint channel in the desired size by turning the handle. Since I use an m8 ball screw in the movement mechanism, 1.25mm progress can be made in each turn. Blade kerf thickness should be 2.5mm. In this way, we will travel one blade thickness path every two turns.
Really good features are that the material doesn't need to be moved every time and can make any size slit in multiples of 2.5mm.
