I am heading out into the face of an ongoing storm to go camping in the snow. Winter camping is so rewarding, once you have a good shelter set up and campfire lit. Join me as I journey into the Arthur's Pass National Park, find a sheltered spot with an amazing view, and hunker down for the night. I have a challenge finding water, which takes me on an adventure further up the valley. It was a freezing night of -6 degrees C, but a roaring campfire kept me warm. I loved sitting under the cover of the rain tarp listening to the sound of the snow falling, and the crackling fire, while cooking my dinner over the open fire.
