This video contains some Hebrew terminology, so I have defined the words I have starred in the video.

Maccabees: A group of Jewish people who fought the Greeks between 168-164 BC (during the time in between the end of the Old Testament, and the beginning of the New Testament). The Greeks defiled the Jewish Temple, so under the leadership of Judas Maccabee, the Jewish nation defeated the Greeks and established the Hasmonean empire. Latkes: Potato pancakes
Dreidel: A four-sided top with the words nun, gimmel, hey, shin meaning none, all, half, and one. This stands for the Hebrew phrase: nes gadol haya sham meaning “A great miracle happened there.”
Al Hanissim: It literally means, “On the miracles,” and it is a Jewish text used for the two Jewish holidays, Hanukkah and Purim
Ma’oz Tzur: It literally means, “Strong Rock,” which is a name of God, and it is a Jewish liturgical poem that is written in Hebrew, and is sung on the holiday of Hanukkah, after lighting the festival lights.
Menorah: Technically this is the seven-branch candlestick that is usually in the temple, and a Hanukkiah is the nine-branch candlestick that is used during Hanukkah
Torah: It literally means the law, instruction, or teaching, and it is the first five books of the Bible that Moses wrote or the Pentateuch—Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
Nes gadol: “A Great Miracle”
Nes Gadol Haya Sham: “A great miracle happened there”
