In one of Franz Kafka's most original short stories, entitled "A Report for an Academy", the author, from the distance that separates the monkey from humans, through the testimony of a monkey, that, without enthusiasm, forced, she ends up becoming a man, she speaks to us of the human condition, of her own chains, of those who impose them and those who suffer them, of evolution and involution, of captivity of his own language.
Kafka observes mankind from a certain distance which favors reflection and portrays a ruthless image in which we are all united, men and apes, by our unstoppable brutality. What to us humans appears obvious as conventional, for Kafka's monkey it appears instead as nonsense, an absurdity and an injustice. This distant gaze manages to unmask hypocrisies, vices and the irremediable cruelty of human nature. Parts of Kafka's tale were used in this machinima like a voice-over that accompanies the entire duration of the video. The images, recorded and shot inside more video games (Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA V, Space Explorer, Battlefield V, FIFA 23), want to represent habits, the moments, the vicissitudes, the conquests and the losses, which are repeated and will be repeated in the history of the human, civilized world, serving as a response, affirmation, exaltation and counterpoint to Kafka's tale.
