In this video, we begin our exciting journey toward the Kalagudi (Kangudi) Bhel Pass, which connects the regions of Malla Johar and Talla Johar through the Kalagudi Mountain, standing at an impressive altitude of 4800 meters. This trek is a part of our multi-day adventure, with this video covering the first day of our journey.

Our trek started from Kalamuni, a well-known gateway to high-altitude trekking routes in the region. After a scenic hike, we reached Chhota Khaliya, a serene meadow where we decided to camp for the night. Chhota Khaliya is a place we've visited before, and it was wonderful to return and enjoy the tranquility of the meadow once again.

On this day, we also visited the Sainrathi village, a charming settlement nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. Two local villagers from Sainrathi joined us on our trek, sharing stories and experiences of the region as we continued our ascent. Their guidance and companionship added to the richness of our journey.

This video captures the beautiful landscapes of the Kumaon region, the welcoming local culture, and the early stages of our ascent toward the Kalagudi Bhel Pass.
