A better platform for the Runcam Split 3 Lite

Описание к видео A better platform for the Runcam Split 3 Lite

I had changed my Mobula7HD from a 1s to a 2s not long after I got this. Like the Mobula6HD that I had, it had super short flight times (like under 2min) and would black out if the voltage got too low. Moving to a 2s power source got rid of any blackouts due to voltage sag. The blackbox data was worthless or I never figured it out with this model, so I got rid of that. My video always looked shaky and never very smooth. So I hardly ever flew this little rig.

I was looking at it and though how fun my Mobula 8 runs around the backyard. I bet with bigger props it would get me away from of that jitteriness. It's not tuned well, which you can see when I dive it goes kitty wampus. I flew on the worse time of day for this setup which is high noon. It looks way better later on or early in the morning because bright sunshine really brings out the jello effect. But even so, it wasn't too bad when I tested it. I feel like this is the platform this Runcam Split 3 lite was meant for. Plenty of power, lots of lift, and smooth flying. It's not a banger like the Mobula8 but I purposely put slower motors on it so I could get some flight time in. It's almost TWICE as much flytime!

So it's not a great camera, but the footage is cleaner than what you would get in your goggles for analog. Again, it works best on non-sunny super bright days unless you can figure out a ND filter to throw on it. For me it will just be an extra whoop to throw in my bag incase I want a little better video of something while I'm out flying the Mobula8. Someday I'll get a digital whoop but this is super cheap compared to getting into that setup.

Flight time:
Mobula8 450mAh 2s: ~3min flying pretty hard
Runcam 3 lite setup: with RDQ 520mAh I was getting 6min. A 720 got me 7min. 450 was like 5:30min. There not nearly the bunch on these 1102 9000Kv motors as the 1103 11000Kv that are on the Mobula8 but still plenty for cruising.
