LEAD IN:
Thirty-four bilbies from the Australian state of Queensland have been flown to a new home, thousands of kilometres away, in the Northern Territory.
Classed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, the move aims to reverse their declining numbers.
