Manache Shlok is one of the most popular books by Samarth Ramdas Swami. It is a small book of meditations which advises ethical behaviour and love for God. 'Manache Shlok' is a collection of 205 shlokas written by Swami Ramdas.
The birth name of Samarth Ramdas Swami was Narayan Suryaji Thosar. He was born on Ramnavami in the year 1530. At the age of 11, he attained enlightenment. He was a devotee of Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama. The title,'Samarth' was given to him by Lord Rama.

Meaning:

Shloka 56 - Let us be kind to the afflicted. Let our mind have love and care for others. Let our mind be free from anger and irritation.

Shloka 57 - Let us meditate on the truth to justify our existence. Let us always be devoted to the good work. Let us treat others at par with us i.e. let us understand that we are also governed by the same laws of nature as others are. Let us keep our mind free from impurities.

Shloka 58 - Let our mind not crave for sensual enjoyments. Let us understand that craving for sensual pleasures is due to the sins commited in the past. Let our mind always dwell on Lord Rama. Let us not indulge in futile imaginations even for a while.

Shloka 59 - Our imaginations have no end. But our imaginations will not lead us to the truth. If our mind is not dwelling on Lord Rama, how can we have love and respect for him?  

Shloka 60 - Lord Rama is the wish-yielding tree. He is the wish-yielding cow. He can relieve us of all our sorrows. He symbolises the truth. Let us understand that the world rests on him. None is comparable to Lord Rama.
