The Milton Bradley Grandmaster & Square Off are chess robots over 3.5 decades apart. The Electronic Grandmaster was introduced in 1983. It has 12 levels of play, piece sensing board, and a robotic arm inside that moves them. It does not have the strongest chess engine but has hint, replay, auto setup and auto play functions.
