On a dark, stormy night, Lady Enid arrives at the eerie estate of her new husband Lord Edgar, who has yet to let go of the memory of his beloved, deceased first wife. Strange things begin to surround her as she tries to decipher the mystery surrounding the enigmatic Irma Vep, whose portrait looms dramatically over the fireplace. This hilarious comedy is a tour de force for two nimble actors in perpetual motion as they portray eight characters in a lampoon of everything from Hitchcock's "Rebecca" and Victorian melodrama to "The Mummy's Curse." One of the most beloved comedies of the past decade, and longest-running play ever produced in Brazil, this charming and almost scandalous comedy is sure to delight.
