We are now arriving at Liberia International Airport, otherwise known as I think it's official name is Daniel, Daniel Uber, he used to own this farm so he gave it to them for free. Oh that's very nice, that's one way to get an airport named after you.
Now we are at departures, say hi to the police officers.
Hey guys it's Samantha and I am here today at Liberia International Airport because I am flying back to the US. So in this video we're going to show you what the airport here at Liberia is like so I'm outside, Yeison just dropped me off, I said bye to him and the doggos so let's go check in for my flight.
Pretty much only my flight with Alaska is going right now, see, pretty empty.
So because the US requires the negative COVID result I have to fill this form saying that I have either a negative result or that I recovered from COVID and I fill it at the counter.
I have never seen security literally empty. There's just standing around talking because there's nobody.
Let's go into the terminal I'm actually going to go buy some snacks, and I'll show you guys around like what's available at Liberia Airport for food and all that kind of stuff, it's a really small airport there's only like 8 gates or something like that. But it's good so you guys can see what it's like.
837 and my flight is at 1030, so let's show you guys around. We have souvenir stores, we have the Britt shop which is a very popular and famous coffee brand here so if you guys want to buy some last minute souvenirs, you have a lot of stuff to choose from. They have IMperial which is the local beer and then they have a store called Blue Zone from Nicoya that's cute magnets.
There's a little cafe bakery over here, I usually get something from here cause there's not a lot of choices in this airport for food. And then coffee, snacks, random souvenirs. And that's my gate and a bar.
Let me show you some of the souvenirs you can get here at the airport so we have chocolate, that looks good. A lot of coffee, best souvenir to bring back, coffee. Britt has a lot of coffee, chocolate, that kind of stuff it's pretty good. And then of course you have the cute stuffed animal so if you didn't get to see a sloth in Costa Rica you can bring home a stuffy one. Or this guy, look at this guy.
Then they have clothes, they always have like a buy 3 get one free or something like that, see they have buy 2 get one hat for free.
If you really liked IMperial beer, you can get an Imperial tshirt.
Fishing shirts, bags and purses. And then your classic souvenirs like magnets, keychains, oh if you love hot sauce actually this one is really good.
So I just got some food at the cafe and I want to show you guys quickly the prices so I got a 600 ml bottle of water which I'm going to reuse today and then a vegetarian pizza so the total came out to be 8940 colones and they charged me in Dollars which automatically they do which is $16.40 and let me show you. This is the pizza, I got a vegetarian pizza so for $16.40 I got this and a 600 ml bottle of water.
So I'm about to board my flight I hope you guys enjoyed the video, sorry this one's kind of a short vlogging one for this week but since I'm flying out of Costa Rica for a little bit I thought I'd show you Liberia International Airport so please subscribe to our channel for more Costa Rica content and I'll see you guys in the next one.
