Movies. Moving pictures. Them photo-ma-what-its-but-they-move. As Scorcese might say: C I N E M A (cinema, if ya nasty).

Who doesn't love a good movie? Plopping down on the couch for a night of laughs or wall to wall action, strolling through your favorite theater with a big box of popcorn in your hands, or even watching something on the train home from work? Perfect. That's my happy place right there.

Except that, for a while, it wasn't. I actually fell out of watching movies pretty hard in 2020. So, when I started getting back into them in 2023, I decided to try something interesting. I thought to give watching a movie every day a go to see what would happen to me. And now, a year later, it's time to review the results and try to figure out whether it was a waste of time or not. I'll parlay my personal experiences, my thoughts on the challenge itself, and share some research I did into the subject of cinematherapy/how the arts are great for our growth as people to discuss how watching a movie everyday was one of the highlights of my year. And not for lack of doing much this year too, might I add!
