Entomology is the study of insects, entomologists are people who study insects. There are many different roles for entomologists and insect scientists, and many can work all over the world in varied environments.

There are many careers that can involve entomology, from Agricultural, Forest & Horticulture Entomologists who look into food production, pollination, pest control and insect farming, Medical & Veterinary Entomologists that diagnose and manage insects that cause and can carry diseases, Biological Recorders and Conservationists that strive to survey and maintain a sense of numbers and endangered species and Forensic Entomologists who use insects to provide evidence for legal cases, to Artists, Teachers and Engineers who take inspiration from the uniqueness and beauty of these creatures and live to teach and connect people with science and nature, and invent new technologies to save the world.
